this act transcends thought, it transcends words.

It is the daring plunge into the experience of union.

However, knowledge in thought, that is psychological knowledge, is a necessary condition for full knowledge in the act of love.

思考による知識は，心理学的な知識ではあるが，愛という行為における完全な知識にとっては欠きえない条件である。

I have to know the other person and myself objectively, in order to be able to see his reality, or rather, to overcome the illusions, the irrationally distorted picture I have of him.

私が，現実の他の人間を見ることができるために，あるいはむしろ，彼についての錯覚，私が彼について持っている不合理に歪められている像を克服するためには，他の人と私自身とを客観的に知らなければならない。

Only if I know a human being objectively, can I know him in his ultimate essence, in the act of love.

そしてただ，愛の行為において人間を客観的に知るときにのみ，彼をその究極の本質において知ることができるのである。
